Let It Snow Candy Pretzels

Let It Snow Candy Pretzels - mix these with all candy dipped pretzels for a fun winter treat for the family!

It is officially winter! It’s kind of ironic that in Maryland, we’ve had snow three times already and bitter cold temps, but on the first day of winter, the temperature hit 70 degrees! I am so sure this balmy interlude will be incredibly short lived, though we’ll enjoy it for the moment. Winter will return, the holidays are here, children are home from school and perhaps you’ll be making some treats over the next week for family gatherings and parties. There are all kinds of fun ways to decorate and dip pretzels for a sweet and salty treat. These Let It Snow Candy Pretzels, featuring cute snowmen and pretty snowflakes, are a great addition to other candy pretzels. You can also bag them individually, add a pop of curly ribbon on top and they instantly become a festive favor perfect for any winter celebration!

I found this adorable pretzel candy mold by Wilton at JoAnn. If you’ve been visiting for a while, you already know my candy making trick of melting the different candy colors using an electric frying pan. It makes the whole process easy – just grab some candy paintbrushes and have fun! You can see the set-up and more on the process at the the Candy Covered Winter Oreos. Here’s how the pretzels looked during the “painting” process!

We were in the 80s but it’s actually supposed to dip into he 40s for the low on Christmas Day. We’re going up to Lakeland which is central FL so it gets a little cooler there. I’ve never worked with chocolate but you make painting these chocolate molds look easy. These snowmen are so cute.
