On this Christmas Eve, I’d like to take a moment to thank all of my readers and friends for your wonderful gifts of friendship, support and joy. I will be taking a break through the holidays to give my family and friends some much deserved time and attention. Every moment and every single thing we have shared throughout the year has been amazing. If I could put a pretty bow on each of you, I would!
As we prepare to celebrate this joyous holiday, I like to remember the words of a very wise, young character from A Charlie Brown Christmas, as Linus helps Charlie understand the real meaning of the season.
“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.’ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'”
And that’s truly what Christmas is all about.
For my friends who do not celebrate Christmas, I wish you peace, joy and happiness for the new year and every year to come.
From my family to yours, wishing you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of holiday seasons. Enjoy and cherish each moment spent with those you love! Merry Christmas and much love to all!
