I’ll bet you’re thinking the same thing I am – there cannot possibly be just two days left in 2013! This year seems to have simply flown by, hasn’t it? I’m thoroughly enjoying seeming posts from my wonderful blogging friends recapping highlights of the past year – it’s a wonderful chance to catch up on things we might have missed or revisit some of our favorites. I thought it would be fun for us to take a look at yours, mine and ours! – favorite 2013 food posts. I actually had so much fun seeing which food posts you liked the best, which were some of mine and which we both liked. Plus….the most pinned food post from 2013. Perhaps you’ll see something you missed during the year and put it on one of your 2014 menus!
The Vanilla Cream French Toast Cups with Apple Filling were a favorite – a yours, mine and ours!
The Tuna Macaroni Salad was also a mutual favorite and remains a family hit – it was on our Christmas Day buffet, too!
The Gingersnap Pumpkin Milkshake was one of your favorites!
Another yours, mine and ours hit – Lemon-Lime Curd in Sugared Wonton Cups! You know how much I love my lemon! 🙂
Italian Fried Chicken Snacks are one of my favorite things ever and we make them a lot around my house!
Two more lemon desserts – are we seeing a sweet trend, here? – are faves of yours and mine!
The “Candy Apple” Cookies were definitely a favorite of yours!
A yours, mine and ours favorite – and a favorite of Mr. Smarty Pants, Apple Cake!
One of my favorite cakes of the year was one that I almost ate all of the batter before it was even baked! Oh, the shame! 🙂 This Browned Butter Almond Torte with Browned Butter Glaze is, my friends, a must try cake!
Guess what the most pinned food post for 2013 was? These quick and delicious Caesar Green Beans! By far not the best photo, but the recipe is quick, easy and these green beans are loved by adults and children alike! These were requested by my family (as they always are!) and were on our Christmas Eve dinner menu. Every single time I think I made enough, it it NEVER enough! If you haven’t tried these – put them on your list for 2014!
So there we have it – yours, mine and ours favorite food posts of 2013! I hope you enjoyed seeing some old favorites or perhaps discovering a treat you might have missed and would love to try! It was like visiting some old friends putting this post together, and to be honest, I was surprised by how many recipes I shared throughout the year.
Thank you so much for walking down food memory lane with me today. If you can, stop by tomorrow, because we’ll celebrate the last day of 2013 with a look at some of the favorite 2013 crafts. Have a fabulous last Monday of the year!
