Sweet & Salty Candy Popcorn Pops, an easy, no bake treat or favor perfect & fun for a baby shower!Sweet & salty candy popcorn “pops” are a cute favor or treat to celebrate the arrival of a special little one and guess what? Surprise! Today we are inviting you ALL to a virtual baby shower honoring Kelly from Life Made Sweeter and Hilary from My Own Blog Review. Sweet & Salty Candy Popcorn Pops, an easy, no bake treat or favor perfect & fun for a baby shower!

These “pops” are super easy to make and who doesn’t love any sweet and salty combo? These no bake treats were made in my Wilton cookie pop pan.

Sweet & Salty Candy Popcorn Pops, an easy, no bake treat or favor perfect & fun for a baby shower!

Here’s what I used to make the pops; you can add anything you’d like to the mixture of melted CandiQuik and popcorn! Peanuts, other candy, craisins – let your imagination run wild!

  • Popped popcorn, buttered and salted
  • Vanilla Flavored CandiQuik
  • Pink & White Sixlets
  • Round candy plaque mold, edible candy pens, lollipop sticks, ribbon

Pop pocorn; butter and salt. Melt CandiQuik in microwave according to packages directions. If you’ve never used CandiQuik, you’ll love it! Fill each cookie pop mold cavity about 1/2 full with melted candy and insert lollipop stick.  Start adding popcorn and sixlets, drizzling with additional melted candy to form a nice mound, just like mama’s tummy ready to pop! :) Place some sixlets in front for color.

To add the little baby plaque to the front of the pop, I poured melted candy into a plain, round plaque mold and let chill until set. Once the plaques were unmolded, I used a Wilton edible candy writer to print “Baby” on the plaque and added little dots around the perimeter.

From the side, they really do look like a tummy ready to pop! :)

To use these “pops” as a favor, wrap them in plastic wrap or cellophane and tie with ribbon. I would also suggest displaying them flat! I’m not even going to tell you the time I had (and how many “popped” to pieces on the floor!”) trying to making them stand up in a Styrofoam block. If you’re brave enough to try it, here’s a trick! I put clear plastic, swizzle sticks in the Styrofoam first and since these lollipop sticks are hollow, they slid right on the swizzle sticks.

I made these in pink, but of course they could be in blue or any color you want.  Here’s another fun, popcorn baby shower idea I shared last year – in blue!
