My Mom used to tell me , “You’ll have many acquaintances in life, but only one or two really close friends.” Many of those forever friendships are formed in high school and college. With graduations on the horizon, many BFF’s will find that they are taking very different paths in the next stage of life’s journey. A Friend “Word” Scrapbook is an everlasting gift for graduating friends to share the joy, memories and milestones they created together!
If you’ve been hanging out with me for a while, you know how much I love making and giving these Word scrapbooks as gifts for every and any occasion. Last year, I did a week-long series on making these wonderful books, with lots of instructions, tips and inspiration. You can find the first post in that series here. I originally bought (tons) of these books from Bo Bunny; when they stopped making them, I thankfully found Heart of Texas Studio. They make these chipboard albums in lots of words!
While this book is decidedly feminine, change up the paper to something masculine and they are also great for the guys, too! I speak from a lot experience – I’ve given so many of these books as gifts and every single person has loved them. There’s no way you can walk in a store and buy something like this! You make it totally unique and personal.
You can either add photos or just embellish it and let your lucky recipient add photos, mementos, etc. BFF’s share a lot of secrets, so there will be countless, special things to say! Include some great quotes about friendship!
Yes, this is a truly perfect gift for one graduating best friend to give to another, and one that will be cherished many, many years. Graduates don’t corner the market on friendships, though, do they? How about YOUR BFF? I’ll just bet one of your special, dear friends has birthday coming up! How awesome would it be to give her a special book to show just how much your friendship means?
Oh, as I’m writing this, I just had an idea!!! Big surprise, right? 🙂 I think these would make an amazing gift from a bride to her bridesmaids! I’m filing this on the brain for my daughter and nieces!
I made this particular book for a very special lady in my life who will be celebrating her birthday this summer. I just hope I can wait to give it to her – I’m bad about waiting to give people gifts!
I love this quote about friendship!
If you have graduate who is looking for THE gift to give the friend they couldn’t have made it without, consider a scrapbook – and put one on the list for your friend, too! What do you think? How would it make you feel if a friend made one for you?
Thank you so much for visiting today – let a friend know how much you love them this week!
