Wishes Mason Jar Bridal Shower Gift

Make a Wishes Mason Jar Bridal Shower Gift for the bride-to-be, filled with happy, written "wishes." From littlemisscelebration.com Bridal showers are always such joyful and fun celebrations! While a lot of weddings take place during the month of June, happy chances to throw or attend a bridal shower happen all year long. A wishes Mason jar bridal shower gift, filled with “wishes” written by family and friends, is a special gift that the bride-to-be can cherish. I’ll bet she’ll get a kick out of reading those wishes in the future, too, don’t you think? With a few basic supplies and a dose of bridal creativity, you can create a unique jar filled with wishes before she says “I Do!”

All the basic supplies for this project came from Michael’s and I raided my craft stash for embellishments. If you don’t have a stash of craft supplies, you can find tons of little bridal beauties or create your own.

Basic supplies from Michaels include:

  • One quart smooth sided Ball Mason Jar
  • Jar Jewelry Chalkboard Mason Jar Lids
  • Recollections Removable Lace Border Sticker
  • Rhinestone Mason Jar Ring

From my craft supplies, I used a chalkboard marker in pink, bridal stickers, rhinestone & pearl embellishments, paper flowers, Gem-Tac glue and more.

Replace the lid and ring that comes with the Mason jar with the rhinestone ring and chalkboard lids. I placed a round sticker with the word Bride in the center of the lid and wrote “A jarful of happy wishes for the…” around the sticker using a pink chalkboard market.

I put the removable lace sticker around the bottom of the jar, adding pink paper flowers and small pearls to embellish. A big, cardstock Bride sticker in black and white was glued to the front of the jar, along with some rhinestones and pearl-centered, silver flower stickers.

Add bridal touches all around the jar! I added rhinestone studded, metal words that say “I Do,” champagne flutes created on my Cricut using clear acetate, gold foil paper and Stickles and finished the jar off with a big bow made with sheer, white wired ribbon.

Cut small pieces of paper and at the shower, ask each of the guests to write a wish for the bride and groom. Fold the papers, fill the jar and shower the bride with a jarful of happy wishes!

It was so much fun to make this pretty jar for a recent bridal shower we celebrated for a very sweet and lovely co-worker. I think everyone enjoyed writing a special wish for her, too and the bride loved it! There is no question this is my new must-make for all future bridal showers – and I’m pretty sure we’re going to have a few in our family over the next few years.
