Celebrate the arrival of autumn with this Easy Fall Sign! With “falling” silk leaves, dimensional felt pumpkins and a bit of sparkle, this sign goes together as quickly as the weather can change. This little piece can go just about anywhere and stay on the wall until the end of November!
It seems like forever since I’ve made a new craft project! With the last few days of summer ready to fade into the beginning of fall, we’re heading into my very favorite time of the year, and I know there are a lot of you who probably feel the same way! This fall sign has been a great jump-start to my fall crafting inspiration. This is the gateway to lots of fabulous holiday crafting!
This sign starts with a pre-painted, white wooden sign board from Michaels, which measures about 8” x 11”. I love the size because the finished sign can be hung in just about any little nook!
To spell out the word “Fall,” you can use any ready-made letters that you’d like or, if you have a die-cutting machine, you can cut out the letters. I used my Cricut and the Storybook cartridge to cut letters using cardstock in pretty, autumnal colors. Using craft glue, the attached the letters to the board on a diagonal. Since I always have to have a little bit of sparkle and shine on just about everything, I outlined each letter with Stickles glitter glue in Cooper and let it dry. This really makes the letters pop!
I found these adorable, ready-made felt pumpkins at Hobby Lobby. Nothing says fall like pumpkins! I glued one large and one medium pumpkin to the bottom and top corners of the sign. For a final touch of fall, some silk leaves were adding to the board around the letters, so they’re falling and swirling. Once the leaves are dry and secure, the sign is done and ready to hang!
This fall sign is hanging in my kitchen right now. I’m tickled with how it looks, plus how easy and quick it was to put together! What are you making, creating or adding to your space to welcome fall?
I’ve seen lots of awesome Halloween projects at our last few Best of the Weekend parties shared by our talented blogger friends and I am totally excited to start sharing some of my own!
