Bejewel eggs for Easter that are pretty enough to use all spring! Liquid Pearl Eggs are fast and easy to make – just squeeze the “pearls” from a bottle! Use pastels, jewel tones or both, to make some easy, sophisticated eggs that look like jewelry!
Happy Easter week! It’s hard to believe that Easter is next Sunday. Spread your Easter-egg decorating wings this year with some jewel-like eggs that anyone can make! Grab a pack of white craft eggs and Liquid Pearls from Michaels, and in no time you can make a batch of pretty, pearl-covered eggs. Ranger Liquid Pearls are a dimensional, paint-like product that creates a look of pearls with just a squeeze. You can find Liquid Pearls in pretty pastel colors, plus there are fantastic jewel tones, too!
If you’ve never used Liquid Pearls before, practice a bit on some scrap paper to get the feel first. You’ll get the hang of it in no time! Work on one side of an egg at a time and let the pearls dry; they usually dry in about an hour. I set my eggs on top of skinny glasses to hold them while I worked and to let them dry.
Make any pattern that you like, or cover the entire egg with pearls, like I did. It’s nice to leave some space between the pearls so that you can see them. If you squeeze the pearls too closely together, they may connect, and you don’t get the dimensional look of individual pearls. It could still be a very cool look, though!
Aren’t they so pretty? They couldn’t be easier to make! Place them in egg cups or fill a pretty bowl. My pink Limoges bowl that belonged to my grandmother looks great with some of these pretty pearl eggs.
Here are a few other fun, different Easter egg decorating ideas you might like to try. The kids might really love the pompom eggs!
Whether spring is starting off a bit chilly or warm, I hope you have a great first week of spring! Thanks for visiting!
