Bring a touch of springtime to your décor with a Painted Spring Wishes sign. At just five inches tall, you can paint this laser-cut, wooden piece in no time. This small sign can be added anywhere to bring a pretty touch of the spring season to your home.
As soon as I saw this little, laser-cut wooden sign at Michaels, I wanted it right away and knew just where I wanted to put it!
Use any bright spring colors to bring this piece to life! I used DecoArt Multi-Surface Satin Paint in shades of green, white, yellow, purple, pink and light blue. You can give this two coats quickly and it definitely starts to look like spring once it’s painted.
We can’t NOT have a little sparkle though, right? I added just a bit of spring sparkle and shine with Stickles glitter glue. Can you believe I showed some restraint here and didn’t go too overboard with the sparkle? I didn’t want to overwhelm this cute piece, just enhance it a bit! A touch of sparkle was added to some of the flowers and to add some interest to the painted white base, I added dots of yellow Stickles.
I have this three- shelf, heart-shaped wooden shelf on a narrow wall in my kitchen. I can’t even tell you how long I’ve had this shelf – a VERY long time! Back in the day, I was crazy about a direct sales company called Home Interiors. I hosted, my mom hosted, my friends hosted a LOT of parties and bought a ton of stuff over the years, lol. I think this shelf is one of the last things I still have from my Home Interiors party days. I always change up the things on the shelf to match the season or holiday, and this little spring wishes sign is the perfect seasonal addition.
I’m been thinking that might be (past) time for my trusty heart-shaped sign to get a makeover! It has hung in the kitchen of every home I’ve lived in since I’ve been married and I feel like it wouldn’t be my kitchen without it! I’m kicking around the idea of painting it black with white polka dots. What do you think? Any other recommendations?
Do you have some a decorative piece in your home that you feel really attached to? What touches of spring are you adding to your home to celebrate the season?
I hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful Easter! Thank you for visiting!
