Before she walks down the aisle, make a special Bride Book for the bride-to-be! Scrapbook paper and embellishments turn a plain, chipboard word album into a beautiful place for the bride to save photos and memories of the big day!
Are there wedding bells on the horizon for a family member or friend? Make her a unique book that’s all about her! My daughter’s BFF will be saying “I Do” in just a few weeks, and I made this Bride book as part of her wedding shower gift. Over the past few years, I’ve made a number of these “word” books and back in 2013, I did a whole week mini-series with lots of tips and tricks to make these books. You can find the start of the series here!
I’ve made and given a lot of the books over the years for different occasions and they are always a big hit! You can find tons of different word books online from Heart of Texas Studio. The chipboard album measures 5 ¾” tall and 12” wide.
I used all white cardstock embossed with different patterns to cover the bride book. Use the wedding colors to help decorate the book – our bride is using dark blue, white and gold as her colors. Once the chipboard pages are covered in cardstock, ready-made wedding embellishments make it completing the book easy!
Make the pages pop with a variety of sequins, flat-backed pearls, gems and flowers. You can give each letter some extra sparkle by outlining it with one of my very favorite craft products, Stickles glitter glue.
Once the book is done, you can bind it together in any number of ways. I like to simply thread ribbon through the holes and tie it securely with knots, and then bows. It’s easy to open and close the book.
Didn’t this Bride book turn out so pretty?
I’ve got a few new word books in the works for some of the upcoming holidays!
If it is as hot where you live as it has been here, I hope you’re staying cool. I know the heat has been off the charts recently because some of the glue on my front door star wreath actually melted and some of the buttons fell off! Whoa – that has never happened before. It’s still July, too, so I can’t imagine what August will be like.
Thank you so much for visiting – stay hydrated and cool!!!
