Display your love for autumn with these sequined fall wood letters! Give the letters a coat of paint and cover the front with fall-themed scrapbook paper. An outline of autumn-hued sequins makes each letter pop with a bit of sparkle and shine! This is a great addition to any tabletop display to celebrate the arrival of fall.
Who’s excited about the official arrival of the fall season tomorrow? This lady definitely is! Hi everyone…it definitely has been some time since I’ve shared something new. This summer has been more than a little challenging and that’s not an understatement! A number of health and other issues with my parents, coupled with high demands at work, took a toll on both my time and energy. I know you all understand family first. I’m excited – and hopeful! – that with the new season I can get my blogging mojo back! 🙂
In the wee hours of the summer nights, I’ve been working on lots of fall projects, though it’s the picture taking, editing and writing that has just not gotten done. In August, I found these fall letters at Hobby Lobby, packaged together. I loved how a leaf was included for the letter “A” and snatched them up right away! The letters are about 7” tall.
There are lots of ways you can bring these fall letters to life. First, I gave each of the letters two coats of brown paint, so that the focus would be entirely on the letters. Using complimentary pieces of autumn-themed scrapbook paper, I traced each letter on back of the paper, cut it out and attached to the front of the letter with Mod Podge.
You know I’m addicted to sparkle and let me just tell you, there are a lot of sequins and glitter on the horizon in the coming weeks! I’ve become absolutely smitten with packs of ombre sequins from Jillibean Soup which I found at Michaels. I used the orange pack for this project, which included sequins in shades of orange, gold and brown. Using Gem-Tac glue, I outlined each letter with a different color of sequin.
This project went together pretty quickly – yes, even the sequin outline! With a simple fall, silk flower arrangement and a candle, these sequined fall wood letters make a pretty autumn display on my foyer table. There’s a little shimmer and shine every time I walk by that reminds me a new season is about to begin.
Cooler temperatures, sweaters, boots, football, changing leaves, getting ready for Halloween – these are some of the things I love about fall! What are your favorite things about fall? What are you most looking forward to with the changing season?
Thank you so much for visiting me!
